The LGA1700 mounting kit makes the Freezer 50 compatible with Intel's new Alderlake processors. Even though the socket and heatspreader have increased compared to its predecessor, the CPU surface has been reduced and remains centered. The Direct Touch heatpipes of the Freezer 50 cover this area completely.
For our customers who submit proof of purchase of an LGA1700 socket processor, we provide the required mounting kit free of charge.
