ASUS Introduces the ROG Maximus IX Extreme
ASUS has announced the ROG Maximus IX Extreme, the flagship motherboard for Intel's latest 8th Generation Core processors. The Maximus IX Extreme features a new 10-layer PCB with a reinforced power delivery system, and support for up to 64GB of DDR4 memory at speeds of up to 4,400MHz.
The Maximus IX Extreme also features a new cooling system, with a large VRM heatsink and a heatpipe that runs from the CPU socket to the rear I/O panel. The motherboard also features a new SupremeFX audio codec, with support for 8-channel audio and DTS:X Ultra surround sound.
