With the highly-integrated, modular design of the FEC module and time-synchronization chips on module, ESR1-511-X4TF can release more PCIe expansion slots for FPGA, NIC and GPU cards. Validated with Intel Xeon Scalable processors with Intel Quick Assist Technology or Intel vRAN Boost function, it deftly broadens the 5G O-RAN application fields – from DU to CU.
Multiple RRUs supported
With distinct time-sync and FEC modules, the ESR1-511-X4TF can enhance connectivity by supporting up to 12 x 25G ports (8 ports SKU to add one additional FPGA card) to directly accommodate multiple 5G Remote Radio Units (RRUs), while also ensuring maximum connectivity for a single RRU for redundancy.
Superior thermal capability
Designed with NEBS Level 3 compliance, ESR1-511-X4TF delivers and optimized thermal solution by partitioning into three distinct thermal zones. This includes a balance layout for efficient air cooling, achieved through multiple fan control. As well, with a larger effective heat-dissipation area, and more rear side vents for improved flow, the server can operate in high-temperature environments of up to 65°C.
