The Belkin F1DN008U and F1DN008Utt contact smart card readers are designed for the needs of a wide variety of card authentication applications. Compliant with major industry standards including FIPS-201, ISO/IEC 7816, USB CCID, and Microsoft WHQL, the F1DN008U and F1DN008Utt both work across multiple operating systems and contact smart cards.
Designed for card authentication applications, the F1DN008U and F1DN008Utt come in a plastic enclosure that augments most desktops. Their cost effective design also help protect electronics and uses only Read-Only Memory (ROM) for the firmware. Similar to other Belkin desktop products, an attractive ID designed to be unobtrusive to the user is provided. The reader can be associated to a given computer in order to reduce operator error when working across multiple computers on a desktop.
The F1DN008Utt comes in retail shelf type packaging, where as the F1DN008U comes in brown box packaging.
