The Galaxy Express is a hardware platform that is part of the E-MetroTel overall Galaxy portfolio. Galaxy Express is built around adaptability and flexibility for your branch office locations. As your offices grow the need for easy expansion that doesn’t interrupt your business is important. Galaxy Express is designed for just this purpose. Galaxy Express is a dual slot expansion module that allows for the expansion and addition of Digital Stations, Analog Stations, and PRI trunking.
There are a total of 2 slots to support interface cards that can provide flexible telephony interfaces to UCx software running on any of the E-MetroTel supported server platforms. The telephony cards operate independently of each other and can communicate with a common UCx server, or, even different UCx servers. Note that the two card slots are connected internally via a switch fabric to Eth2, so a only single Ethernet connection to the customer network or UCX using Eth2 should be used.
