This fuser kit is compatible with the following HP LaserJet printers:
- HP LaserJet 1020
- HP LaserJet 1022
- HP LaserJet 1022n
- HP LaserJet 1022nw
- HP LaserJet 1022x
- HP LaserJet 1022xi
The kit includes a fuser assembly, a thermistor, and a thermal fuse. It is designed to replace the original fuser assembly in your printer.
The fuser assembly is responsible for fusing the toner to the paper. The thermistor monitors the temperature of the fuser assembly and shuts down the printer if the temperature gets too high. The thermal fuse protects the fuser assembly from overheating.
If your printer is not fusing toner to the paper properly, or if the printer is shutting down unexpectedly, you may need to replace the fuser assembly.
To replace the fuser assembly, follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Open the printer door.
- Locate the fuser assembly. It is a large, black box located near the top of the printer.
- Remove the old fuser assembly by disconnecting the electrical connector and unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place.
- Install the new fuser assembly by connecting the electrical connector and screwing it in place.
- Close the printer door.
- Plug the printer back into the power outlet and turn it on.
