There are 121 privacy codes, giving you up to 2662 channel options to block other conversations.
The T290VP4 has 10 NOAA weather band channels with scan and alert functions to keep you informed of severe weather hazard information. Choose from five different call alerts, or select the silent operation mode for quiet, unobtrusive operation. Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker, or enable eVOX mode to enjoy hands-free communication with the included single-ear headsets. High, medium, and low power settings let you adjust the radio's transmit power to conserve battery life. Each radio is powered by an included rechargeable battery pack; the battery level is displayed on the backlit LCD screen. The supplied desktop charger and AC adapter allow you to charge both radios via a single wall outlet.
