Engineered with a die-cast metal housing, this weather-proof wireless AP has one of the industry's highest IP ratings. IP67 certified, it provides exceptional protection against water and dust, including water ingress protection for 30 minutes in up to 3 feet of water.

The outdoor AP is built to withstand extreme weather conditions and temperatures, with a wide operating range of -30° to 60°C (-22° to 140°F). Heavy-duty cable grommets and rubber gaskets seal the ports against moisture penetration during rainy or humid conditions.

Reliable wireless performance and range

This wireless access point is an effective way to create or expand your wireless network, with a range of up to 3.7 kms or 2.3 miles. It helps to eliminate dead spots, to maximize throughput and speed throughout the coverage area. You can connect two buildings several kilometers away from each other, to provide reliable Internet access.

The AP operates on the 2.4GHz frequency band, and allows wireless access for up to 32 clients simultaneously (802.11a/n). You can also set up multiple access points to provide reliable Wi-Fi access for additional clients at the same time. The 2.4GHz network is the most common band, providing easy access for wide range of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. With support for Wireless-N, the AP provides fast data transfer speeds of up to 300Mbps, ideal for streaming High Definition video, voice and music.

Versatile use, outdoors or indoors

With its robust performance and range, this AP supports wireless connections in numerous applications - for small and medium sized businesses, campuses, recreational facilities and backyard residential settings. It allows you to easily extend your wireless network to include outdoor meeting spaces, patios, cafes, green spaces, parking lots and adjacent buildings. Dust-tight and waterproof, the AP is also ideal for harsh indoor environments like warehouses, factories and other industrial settings.

For versatile use, the device provides four operating modes: Access Point (AP), Wireless Distribution System (WDS), Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) Bridge and Repeater, and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) WISP Bridge and Repeater. The WDS mode allows you to expand your wireless coverage by bridging multiple WDS access points together. Using the WISP mode, you can connect two LAN segments wirelessly. The CPE modes let you connect two LAN segments over a wired connection.

Easy set-up and installation

Since it's PoE powered, the outdoor wireless AP can be installed practically anywhere, with no need for a wall outlet. (A Power-over-Ethernet injector is included.) You can mount the AP on a pole or flush against a wall or soffit. PoE pass-through via the secondary LAN port lets you chain and power a secondary R300WN22MOD access point
