Synology High-Availability 12-Bay (NAS) Rackmount Expansion Unit RX1216sas
The RX1216sas 12-Bay Storage Expansion Enclosure from Synology is designed to provide storage capacity expansion for the Synology RackStation RS18016xs+. It provides twelve drive bays, each of which natively is able to support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s and SATA II 3 Gb/s hard drives and SSDs, 3.5" and 2.5" SAS hard drives, and 2.5" SAS SSDs. The drives are hot-swappable and there is also RAID management through the Synology Disk Station Manager that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, Basic, and JBOD. The RX1216sas is equipped with two Mini-SAS inputs, two Mini-SAS outputs, and dual redundant 500 W power supplies. It operates using 100 V–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz (single phase) and consumes 67.31 W upon drive access.
The RX1216sas 12-Bay Storage Expansion Enclosure includes an accessory pack, two AC power cords, and two Mini-SAS expansion cables. It is protected by a limited five-year warranty.
