The Cisco Media Redundancy Protocol Manager License provides the ability to manage the Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) on Cisco Catalyst IE3200 Rugged Series, IE3300 Rugged Series, IE3400 Heavy Duty Series, and IE3400 Rugged Series switches.
MRP is a Cisco-proprietary protocol that provides end-to-end redundancy for Ethernet networks over point-to-point links. MRP uses a combination of active-standby and shared Ethernet links to provide redundancy and load balancing.
The Cisco Media Redundancy Protocol Manager License allows you to manage the MRP configuration on Cisco Catalyst IE3200 Rugged Series, IE3300 Rugged Series, IE3400 Heavy Duty Series, and IE3400 Rugged Series switches. The license also provides access to the MRP debug logs and the MRP statistics.
