Product features and benefits The Cisco NCS 1001 (Figure 1) is a 1RU system that is capable of supporting up to three pluggable modules. The modules can be amplifiers or protection switch modules along with the OTDR. The amplifier module can be set to manual or autoconfiguration mode. In manual mode, the user sets gain and tilt on the amplifier.
