The Ultrastar Data60 is a 60-bay hybrid storage platform for disaggregated and software-defined storage (SDS) systems, delivering high density with the flexibility to balance performance against cost. It provides up to 840TB of raw storage in a compact 4U form factor, and Western Digital HelioSeal drives ensure cool running, quiet operation and high reliability. A high-performance data tier can be created by fitting SSDs in up to 24 of the drive slots, so a single platform serves both fast data and bulk data.
