The DataPort 10 Secure includes hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption that offers affordable, military-grade removable drive enclosures. All data are encrypted/decrypted automatically and transparently using a dedicated hardware processor, delivering high performance without compromising convenience.
Physical encryption keys are mounted to the back of the frames and secured into the host computer, eliminating the need for key or password management. When you remove a hard drive you can store it or transport it secure in the knowledge that it's fully protected against prying eyes. In order to access the data, the carrier must be reinserted into its original frame or one in another computer/enclosure with a matching encryption key.
Frames with matching keys can be installed in computers across multiple locations so that drives can be transported between them without risk of being compromised en route.
DP10 aluminum frames and carriers dissipate heat to keep drives cool during operation, and offer durable protection during transport. Each carrier is equipped with CRU’s patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS™), and an audible alarm will notify you if the drives begin to overheat so that you can prevent data loss or drive malfunction/damage.
After you power on your drive with the keylock, LEDs will notify you of power, drive, encryption key errors, and encryption activity.
