The MX960 router provides 14 slots that can be populated with up to 12 interface cards and two Switch Control Boards (SCBs) in nonredundant fabric configurations. The MX960 Services Router is an Ethernet-optimized edge router that provides both switching and carrier-class Ethernet routing. The MX960 router has a capacity of up to 480 gigabits per second (Gbps), full duplex.
